Setting a mission to 'Veteran'

Gents, how do I get a mission in a dedicated server to goto veteran mode? ie, no GPS and no map markers.

difficultyEnabled or cadetMode would probably work in Arma1. Not sure how these will work with the new modes in Arma2. I.e. if cadetMode returns true, then maybe a force mission end or harrass the player with a hintC?

However, I must advice against such a check. People want to play this at their own leisure and then increase the difficulty if and when they feel like it. What you can do however, is make the mission slightly different based on the difficulty settings. I.e. in Dominatrix (Domination offspring) I would disallow teleportation pluss a lot of other stuff to make it more challenging, in veteran mode.

I need the mission to be in veteran mode for a variety of reasons but thx for your input.

Don't think that you can set a mission in veteran, difficulty is dependant of server and not of the mission afaik. (Unless you can do something similar to this.)
