bobnice 0 Posted June 30, 2009 (edited) I need help, I dont know whats wrong. My other games work fine, including the Arma 2 Demo which is now uninstalled. However, I just purchased Arma 2 from steam and everytime I try to play I get about 2 minutes in to the game and BAM my entire PC shuts down. This happens no matter what mission I play, even the Armory. I have lowered all of my video settings from default to low even though I think my PC can handle normal-high no prob... Ive tried High settings on the demo and It ran smooth and never crashed like this, so now I am on low with AA and AF disabled and it still shuts my computer off. mc sonar 0 Posted July 1, 2009 ahhhh! same problem here since two days or so.... game runs fine last week. then like superman out of sky i ve got crashes to desktop every time i play my system is Stresstested YEAH Q6700@2600-3200 absolut prime stable 48h with no overheating problem GF8800GTS @stock no heat problems 4GBram tested and fine winXP32 SP3 ARMA2 PARTITION DEFRAGMENTED blood pressure OK Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
bobnice 0 Posted July 1, 2009 well i stopped launching the game from the desktop shortcut and am now launching from steam under "my games," so far its been working fine. kinda weird but at least i can play and at high detail settings too. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
