How do I order a helicopter around?

Me and my team are in a helicopter, it's hovering above the ground, and I want it to take us to a point on the map. How do I go about accomplishing this?

i had wondered this too but figured it out thru guessing a bunch.

press M to go to your map. then press space while pointed at the location u want to get to. go to communication and then select the helo transport support option and click a few times, and it then designates where you're pointing as the LZ. then the helo takes off :)

does the heli need to be in the squad then?

From what I've read, in the campaign you get assigned a helicopter you can use. I don't think it's part of your squad, but you instead use the communications menu to interact with it, as AnimalMother92 explained.

Outside of the campaign, you can order pilots who are part of your squad around in the normal fashion, and I suppose if you're using high command you could order the chopper squad around.
