Arma2 DEMO Multiplayer - Laggy

I tried 5 or 6 servers with good ping but the game felt very clunky. My fps is decent. I see people skip around and freeze up and the same thing with vehicles. It feels like I'm playing an alpha version of the game because of how rough it feels. Is anyone else noticing this?

I don't even know what I'm doing. The game, map, and every sort of screen I've seen doesn't explain anything, or what to do in multiplayer.

I'm at the point where I don't even want to bother with it.
