twan 0 Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) Hey all! So I have had ArmA for quite some time, though it never worked because my video card is an nvidia 128 MB Ti 4200 with AGP8x, horrible yes I know. I'm thinking of buying the cheapest possible video card to run ArmA. I bought an nvidia 7300 and ran ArmA for 3 days but I got a bunch of rectangles and lines that appeared to be growing out of my characters head that followed me everywhere and were on everything, so I took it back. Besides the lines issue, it seemed that ArmA ran just fine on my comp. So my question is what is the CHEAPEST video card I can get to run ArmA? My power supply is 250w I think, may need to upgrade that as well... If it's at all possible (probably not) is there anything I can tweak to run ArmA on my current card? (Not very hopeful about this one don't worry :) ) NOTE: I have ArmA: Combat Operations and not Queens Gambit, and I plan to use the A.C.E. Mod. Thanks for any help! Evil_Echo 11 Posted June 24, 2009 You're screwed. Get a new box with at least 500W power supply and a 9800GTX at least. ACE uses bigger textures, that toy you have now won't cut it. And do get Queens Gambit.
twan 0 Posted June 24, 2009 But for the 3 days I ran ArmA with my 7300 video card it ran very smoothly, but it wasn't a supported card so I had to return it. I guess a new comp will be the answer, since ArmA II is out and everything. Thanks
