Still upgrade problems.

Recommended Posts

Thanks a bunch for all the helpful replies eariler. Reeaaally appreciate it. /sarcasm

Basically, I can't upgrade my OFP beyond 1.30. Why? Well, because I moved all of OFP to my new harddrive. Not that it bothers me too much, but I'd really want to be able to play this online too, y'know?

Now, earlier I asked if there was any way I could convince my OFP(or rather them *.exe patch files)that it really WAS installed on drive D: and not C: (it said OFP either wasn't installed or installation was corrupted). The only way I could think of was by uninstalling and then re-installing OFP, obviously saving my Users, Missions, MPMissions, Downloaded & Addons folders.

Well, now I did that. Although I had to do it the hard way because the uninstallation program didn't work(it couldn't find OFP either), and I re-installed OFP. 'aight, so then I try to use the Ultimate Upgrade 1 exe file...hm hm. "OFP is not installed on your computer or installation is corrupted".

And here's the best part: I restore my old, 1.30 ofp from the recycle bin, and try to start it up: "Bad Serial number given in Setup". Oooh, that's rich, thank you very friggin' much! (oh, and I'm using a legitimate copy of OFP, just fyi)

So tell me, why does your OFP Upgrade files NOT find my copy of OFP??? And why won't it let me start up even my OLD OFP anymore?? I'm baffled, quite simply. I would be much obliged if SOMEONE would care to reply this time, maybe even offer solution?
