IceFire 0 Posted March 9, 2002 I was wondering why the black ops board chopper they way they do. If you play "Clean sweep 1" in the single player missions. When you finally kill all the enemies, and you and your black op buddies have to board the chopper. They wait really far away, but then they move in a distinct pattern before actually boarding the chopper. I was wondering the reasoning for this. I think that maybe this is some stealth technique that special ops use in order to reduce visibility, perhaps?

Guest Posted March 9, 2002 It also sucks that you can't walk in the helicopter yourself, or walk freely in it. The boarding and unboarding sucks in OFP . You just spawn next to your vehicle and you hear a door clap shut, even if you unboard an M2
Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted March 9, 2002 Im happy with that. Doesnt create any unneccesary lag. And if u would be ably to walk around in vehicles... just imagine how many people like me would fall through that hole in the chinok ?
madmike 0 Posted March 9, 2002 They wait there because if they go straight to the LZ then in real life they could get crushed by the Blackhawk or the blackhawk could crash by having a mechanical faliure like a gearbox broken. so its saftey
-=-DUNEE-=- 0 Posted March 9, 2002 LOL! Or what if yer Chinook was hit by an RPG and the impact would throw you out of the aircraft. Granted, you still die, but you'll get to see yourself splatter on the ground. Guess it would be too nasty to implement, not to mention that this way a lot more ppl could cram into a transport. IceFire 0 Posted March 9, 2002 Yeah, that's what I figured, mad mike. But what about that distinct path they take to actually board the choppers? It's like they are making a visual recce of their surroundings to make sure the area is cleared of enemies so that the chopper won't be vulnerable to fire once they board. Or they are moving to help avoid the fan blades? Anyone here know?
