Splarg 10 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) Has anyone managed to finish all the tutorial missions? I keep trying but keep coming across various bugs/game breaking 'features', just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or not as it seems at present like I'm constantly hitting my head against a brick wall. Things I've encountered:- 1:Basic Training, first aid Pick up the 'wounded' soldier, then can't move anymore, can change to carrying him/drop him but I'm stuck on the spot and have to restart. 3:Armour After completing the driver and gunner section, you take the commander position, tutorial just stops without advancing, no instructions as to what to do, waypoint still on one of the destroyed 'tanks' (did manage to complete this just by randomly driving around and obviously passed the 'trigger' point) 5: VTOL Very easy to miss where you're meant to go, if you follow the rings up after taking off, it doesn't always trigger the next waypoint, leaving you to fly around blind, and if they do trigger and you fly too high to the waypoints you wont see the rings (which seemingly trigger the landing part) and again are left flying around thinking 'now what?' 6: Team Possibly the most frustrating of them all, first part of this tutorial 'order your squad member to move near to you'. Opened the commands menu, selected 'move there' shows me saying 'number 2 HALT' every single time, tutorial doesn't seem to ever move past this (i did try every option on the menu also to no avail) 7: High Command Go into commander mode, tell the groups to move.......move options are all grayed out, this did advance on luckily to the map section, told the groups to move to the marked location, after the tanks nicely rammed into one of the houses (and each other) for a few minutes they did make it to the point and...............nothing, no next part of the tutorial came up 8: Construction On first trying this, it spawned me standing on the hill, with no messages/hints/anything about what to do, restarted and the message came up, rest worked ok. Is it just me experiencing these bugs? and/or are they fixed in the 1.01 patch? (I have the uk version as of this morning, so can't use the german patch) Edited June 18, 2009 by Splarg spoiler tag added

thr0tt 12 Posted June 18, 2009 1: Yes same issue, but it should still complete once you do your thing. 6: Try getting in then out of a vehicle, this seems to sort this bug in MP. Others I can't comment as they appeared to work albeit not as they should but I hit the 'trigger' points to complete them.

heemle 0 Posted June 24, 2009 1. I had the same problem. Might be a difference in if you have the rifle or the handgun equipped. First time i tried worked fine, but the second time I think I had the handgun, and I got stuck and couldn't move. 8. Had the same problem.
Space Hopper 10 Posted July 8, 2009 Me and my friend have the steam version of ArmA2. And we've seen some of the above problems. Problems we've had: First aid problem: Cant move after picking up wounded soldier. When driving to the rocket launcher training, the opfor soldiers are already active, shooting you. My friend got really pissed when this happened, getting shot while trying to shoot the wooden tanks... And its happened to me as well. Objective tracker: Sometime vanishes. I think I tried the first tutorial about 5 times until i could finally complete it. The plane tutorial: When completed it didnt show as completed in the tutorial overview. If I didnt know any better, I'd think that FADE was messing with me. But why the hell would it do that through steam?? I have yet to try the Team and Army training tuts.
