Snake Man 407 Posted June 9, 2009 I just completed the campaign, what a great campaign that is! Excellent job BIS! However I do have a problem with it. The spoken dialog, the voice sentences, is way too fast spoken as they come one after another without any pauses (or that way it seems to me) so you really have hard time keeping up. There should be small pause between person1 and person2 when they speak, nothing long, but small breathing space. The individual spoken words are really good quality, there is no problem with that, but when you start to put everything together without any pauses its just this horrible chaotic mess. Many times, if not all the time, when the spoken language is Russian (or whatever it is), I have to read it from the titletext, when two persons are speaking long sentences and I'm reading 2 line piece of text one after another... its practically impossible to keep up. Yeah call me slow retard or whatever, but I'm absolutely sure there are many other people with similar problems on the campaign dialog. Another thing is that when there is dialog spoken, the squad radio comms are still open, its very annoying and immersion killing when your character is speaking with someone and at the same time reports contacts in the squad radio. I definitely think the radio should be shut down during cutscene dialogs.

I definitely think the radio should be shut down during cutscene dialogs. I respectfully disagree. It is pretty bad that Radio is READ ONLY during scripted dialogs/cutscenes, cutting it completely would make things far WORSE. Just combination with auto-save feature-bug is bad enough: Scripted dialog takes place just as auto-save triggers, often resulting in making contact, coming under fire, getting it saved, and being UNABLE to command squad at all, possibly resluting in game over or worse, only save where u cant manage squad, only to watch them/you/objective die.. (not to mention getting mortal hit, auto-saved and then actually dying from the mortal hit few seconds ago...yeah, it happened to me OR taking like over 10 hits from Mounted 7.62mm LMG in knees, running over 20m, shooting and killing few, then dying all of sudden OR the same situation, after bailing out of completly destroyed vehicle...and so on) how could that pass through ANY QC?
Snake Man 407 Posted June 11, 2009 The radio is not read only, I have no idea what you're talking about.
MuthaF 10 Posted June 11, 2009 By 'read only' i mean, you only get messages, and send automatic spot messages, thats all. You CANT use actively radio during scripted dialogues, more exactly you cant select and command any team member. Hope that's clearer.
