Command-Menu with Mousebutton

I really would like to set the expanded command menu (backspace) to one of my mouse buttons. Unfortunately you can't assign it to another button in the settings. Maybe it is possible to edit the profile-file ???

Please really patch this. I want to open up the menu with my mousebutton and then choosing the desired command by scrolling the wheel.

I like the suggestion. It would be awesome if they reworked their command system and made it circle and mouse navigational (AKA clicking buttons) like in BattleField 2 and Left 4 dead.

There is no time in a middle of the combat to mess with the tiny menu on the side.

and on the same note, i wish you didn't activate any of the choises in the actionmenu with the lmb, as long as mmb is set as the button to do that, why does the left one do that too? have given me some problems allready...

Good points all, the BI menu system has always been a little archaic and while the context sensitve features is a good concept, the execution is a bit shakey. A pie menu would be much more efficient, but might trigger other things. It would be nice to see more options and configurability in how the menu interface works and perhaps manual options instead of context triggering.

in arma 1 i had my com menu at spacebar, so i thought arma is now on my "side" with doing it by default on it but i miss or didnt found some orders wich are accesible only through the backspace key:(

i also tried to reassign the backspace command but failed , i would like to be able to assign formations and move orders as in arma 1 pls :)
