qual 0 Posted June 5, 2009 You only want to add the mod folder to the target line not both. the target line should look like:-"E:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@English The Start in line, stays the same. tried that, still get message "The name E:\program specifyed in teh target box is not valid" To get my short cut i just right clicked on the arma2.exe and clicked create shortcut is that correct? Nicholas 5 Posted June 5, 2009 (edited) yes you did that right. Make sure you got them in C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA II\@English\Addons and C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA II\@English\Dta Then create shortcut>Rightclick and enter to the target line -mod=@English>Hit Ok Launch. Wait, copy what you got in your target line and paste it here. Edited June 5, 2009 by Nicholas

walker 0 Posted June 5, 2009 (edited) Hi qual 1) Copy and paste your existing ArmA II short cut. 2) Right click the copy of you shortcut and select properties 3) In the target line it says "...what ever your ArmA path is...\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" or whatever. Append this to the end of that target line -mod=@English Press apply and OK You may want to rename the shortcut from copy of ArmA2 or whatever it calls it to something like "English ArmA II" Kind Regards walker Edited June 5, 2009 by walker

kernriver 4 Posted June 11, 2009 Didn't know where to put this post, and since i didn't want to create a new unnecesarry thread, i'll post it here, sorry if i'm hijacking the thread... A couple of days ago i was watching a football match with a friend, and since he knows i'm crazy about OFP/ArmA1/ArmA2, he told me that one of his work colleagues is downloading (pirating) ArmA2. I LOLd and told him: Well, good luck with FADE protection. ;) He asked me what it was, so i explained it to him. A few days later my friend informed me that the guy bought german download version and is playing with english language patch.... I'm not saying FADE is either good or bad, just telling a true story, that's all :D
boneboys 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Have been down this road. Three files, 2 are installed,1 replaces an existing file. Play on-line and appreciate the anti-cheat program. Delete ARMAII, go look in your remaining AddOns folder and you will find a pbo that was not deleted, therefore not recognized by the un-install program. I am attempting to improve my German at present.:D A true story.

I'm waiting for my preordered 505 version, hope it comes next friday. Pozdrav. :) EDIT: Point of my story wasn't that you trigger FADE with english language patch, but rather that FADE makes you buy the original game. ;) Edited June 11, 2009 by Kernriver
