walbatross 0 Posted March 7, 2002 The award for the game with the most technical bugs and glitches goes to...........drum roll.............. Operation Flashpoint by Codemasters! Applause............. Just a joke, I really do like the game. Its my favorite game out right now. Just pissed I can't play it. Just play the demo over and over again. LOL
ExLaX 0 Posted March 7, 2002 I've been playing that demo for about a year now. I reinstalled it yesterday when I found out that I might be waiting a while until they can fix the bug

walbatross 0 Posted March 7, 2002 Yeah, yeah, I know. I know the game was bugged as soon as I tried it. Just for shits and giggles I tried all the information in faqs and forums. That just added insult to injury. Theres nothing more frustrating than saving up money for a PC game you've been dying to play then fnally after several weeks of saving buying it and taking it home and doesn't work. Then you waste ohh....10 hours or so trying to get the game to work cause everyone said, "try this" and "have you tried this", "haven't you read this" and so on. I know enough about computers to know if a game doesn't work with a computer that was no problems with 30-40 other games from many different game companies then that game is defective. I know Codemasters will do the right thing but I can't wait for that. I already returned my game and used my store credit on another game. I won't say the name, thats not important, it might not be as much fun to play but atleast it works! And isn't that what we all really want? Buy stuff that works? Placebo 29 Posted March 8, 2002 Hmm well your choice, personally if I'd saved my money up for weeks to buy a game then another week or so wouldn't have hurt
walbatross 0 Posted March 8, 2002 I wouldn't give Codemasters the satisfaction. Frankly I emailed them about their problem when I first noticed it and told them there was something wrong with the disk. So I wait 24hours for a reply and here is what they said: Can you please download and install the latest drivers for your Nvidia Riva TNT2 graphics card from http://www.nvidia.com/ Lets see first of all I already did that before they asked me and the new drivers are unsupported by microsoft and caused my graphic accelerator card to crawl to a stop. I tell them this then they write: If you send in the game we will test it to see if there is a problem with the disk. Well then pay for the shipping then. I'm as sure as hell not. I've already paid top dollar for a non-working copy then wasted hours of my time trying to get it to work.
