Perun 0 Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) As my favourite weapon is T-80 (I still play OFP) I really hate, that RPG doesn't make proper particle effect (seen in russian video here - 8:33). Yes, when RPG hits tank it's correct it creates huge amount of dust so tank crew is not possible to see who and from where fired. But theirs companions should be able to see. I love particle effects which are on helicopter rockets, these are great, but the one on RPGs sucks. For example some real videos: 1:00 - in dusty area And when I'm opening a new thread I'd like to say war is really nasty and I will love if Arma 2 will show war in its nastiness and dirty Edited May 14, 2009 by Sniperwolf572 Explicit Content
Maddmatt 1 Posted May 13, 2009 In that ArmA 2 video you wont even see the backblast because the camera isn't behind the RPG when it fires  I think this faction video gives you a better look, but I'm not sure: http://www.arma2.com/chernarussian-movement-of-the-red-sta_en.html
Alex72 1 Posted May 13, 2009 Was there any backblast in that vid Matt? Looks like rocket smoke trail only. Hmm hope BIS got inspired by your awesome backblast. Alex
Maddmatt 1 Posted May 13, 2009 72;1284126']Was there any backblast in that vid Matt? Just checked the video now' date=' at 1:40 I see it. At 1:05 you also see a UAZ with an AT cannon (can't remember what it's called) fire, backblast there is clearly visible. Hmm hope BIS got inspired by your awesome backblast. :)

SaBrE_UK 0 Posted May 13, 2009 :) Is that a smile as in "thanks" or a smile as in "I helped out with the particle effects"? :o
Perun 0 Posted May 14, 2009 Yeah I see, I trust you have truth. But in the linked Russian video it seems like there is no particle effect at all. But maybe it just can't be seen in 1st person mode.
