Annoying 'light meter' effect

Recommended Posts

HDR precision may limit the 'strobing' effect that some cards get and level out the changes in brightness, but the brightness must change. The game is programmed with a realistic range of light values. This is much more than your monitor can display, so it works on a scale, like the apperture of a lense. A smooth transition is normal, and your 'eyes' should get kind of messed up from staring at the sun and so forth but there shouldn't be constant dramatic sweeping of the light range. THis happens on some cards.

I'm Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX and it can handle ArmdA smooth as silk on a mix of High and Very High settings.

The games light meter effect is realistic but in my opinion is a little too severe especially under some lighting conditions, but I've found it can be overcome to a large extent in the editor by setting bright sunshine, so I'm happier than I was, especially as the scenery and graphics are sensational in bright sunlight, I shall certainly be posting some big stunning screenshots at my Few Good Men club in due course, can't post them here or i'll get told off again for being too big..;)

PS- okay check out the first screenshot-
