FootKnight 10 Posted May 3, 2009 Hello everyone, I decided to give ArmA a try after hearing about it recently, so was happy to find that a demo was available, but am having some problems. When I boot up the game this is all I get: I can use the menu items at the bottom, but still can't see anything they say after clicking them. I've made sure all my video drivers up to date and am running DX10. Here are my computer stats: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 4GB DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) EVGA GeForce GTX 260 896MB Vista Home Premium 64-bit I run everything at 1900x1200 Can anyone give me any ideas for getting this working? Zipper5 74 Posted May 3, 2009 ArmA had that bug in previous versions when dealing with a card which had a unified architecture to it. Really, anything past the 8xxx series nVIDIA cards. The demo, due to it's old version, also contains that issue. It's been fixed after v1.08 (if I recall correctly, may have been later or earlier) but it's definitely not an issue now since I can play ArmA with my GTX 280. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about it unless you buy the game.
FootKnight 10 Posted May 4, 2009 Damn. Well, maybe I'll just bite the bullet and pick it up without trying it first. Thanks for your help.
desertjedi 3 Posted May 4, 2009 As I just posted in another thread, Arma Gold is about $10 on ebay and Newegg if you're in the US.
