Impavido 0 Posted May 2, 2009 I have installed ArmA Gold ona new PC, which has a 64-bit version of Vista. When I start Arma, I get nothing but a black screen for about 3-4 minutes. THen the game is rendered like the picture below. Is this a problem with ArmA running on a 64-bit system? The BI wiki has some link to a 64-bit patch at some forum, but the link is broken. :(
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) After patch 1.12 that problem was fixed. It was caused by 4gig memory. If you went all the way back to 16*.** Nvidia drivers, you would not have that problem, but the game will be "slugish". I'm using 182.06 WHQL Edited May 2, 2009 by SWAT_BigBear
W0lle 1052 Posted May 2, 2009 It would help a lot of you could tell the people what hardware you are using, what driver and ArmA version. ;)
Impavido 0 Posted May 2, 2009 The problem appears to have been corrected by a second instal of 1.14 I had installed it once before--or at least I thought-and doing it again worked.
