I say, put on a ghillie suit, get a camera with a long lense and find yourself a nice over-looking hill. Though if you do get found you'll probally end up getting tortured for days in a US army base on Southern Cuba.

But it is nothing less than a stupid training camp. "Tension these days...", I mean you are probably right about this but how arrogant can the army be to think that they are something special. An embassy yes, museum yes, business towers yes, but not a stupid training camp. What the hell do they got to hide. (it is not area 61 or whatever it is called)

Well, I don't think they want to give away any kind of information that has not been approved.

Even if it is just training, they don't allow strangers to come near their troops, and I understand why.

Some lunatic could sneak up on trainees and set off a bomb...

This would be very bad for morale, in young americans wanting to join the army.

I'm not really sure what you mean by live fire area but Rovajärvi life fire shooting area in northern Finland is about 1200 sq.km and it is reported to be the largest in western europe.

It is used mainly by the finnish artillery but also other branches of the military uses it.

There was an article in the official army magazine.

At the moment I am still renting guns from the skirmish sites ,but I have my eyes on a P-90 (can you put it into OFP pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee). I might go for one of CA's full metal M-16 "A3"'s though, if they are good quality

As for the header- I didn't know it was you I always wondered who did it, but I never bothered asking...

I can't travel either at the moment University is expensive enough as it is

If I find the money I'll drop you an email though

Yes the actual OFPN header(winter) is made by me (same as christmas/newyear header), the other great headers was made by Seventh.

I have idea to make HUGE european AS exercise (to train together), but more GI than AS (Hope ou now what i mean , but i want on holiday take trip around europe so theres a chance to meet in UK

As for your idea for a European AS thing, that will be VERY difficult to organize. First of all, people need to be contacted, and that might take a while. Then there has to be some basic type of accomodation provided (even if it is just a large piece of land for some tents). Food and drink need to be organised and sold cheaply. Then there are legal problems of transporting airsoft guns across countries. What do you do if you are in France and want to drive by car? Because airsoft guns are illegal in Germany!

Also, keep in mind that there are differences in allowed strength for AEG's in different countries. For instance, in England the legal limit is 1 J, or 328 FPS for automatic rifles. As far as I know, France has a legal limit of something like 450 FPS or something like that! I don't think anyone here would like to fight against such a strong gun...esp. as it will undoubtedly have a much greater range as well.

That is a very nice idea pal, but I'm afraid it is very difficult if not impossible to implement

But if you come to the UK, you can always hire guns at the skirmish sites, and if you tell them who you are they might even give you some BB's or a beer for free

Erex, how did you manage to get a job as a military advisor? my life revovles around anything "green" and after I have served for a short time in the British Army I would love to be an advisor for a game.

Erex here is an Idea haveing participated in many military excercises. Look technicly you guys are now military contractors. So that gives you well not the right. But the possability to contact your military liason and ask him to set something up.They usual have no problem with it.

Trust me nothing like them bringing a bus load of military contractors into a satcom vehicle that is this big []. Then they ask you all kinds of questions which you answer in a precise military manner. Then they go back to their labs and make something that is totally screwed up and do not listen to you at all.

For example there is one radio system no lie that some grunt figured out that if you bang on it. It realigns the chips inside and works perfectly again. No lie. Then you tell them stuff like this and they shake thier head and go on thier merry way. Thinking you are nuts. But when the manual is updated. Sure enough in troubleshooting section. "BANG ON THE BLAH SYSTEM TO REALINE CHIPS".

Any way try contacting your military liason you should have one. Explain what you want to do thier. Well don't say you just want pictures. But you want to view the equipment to see if how it works in real life or some other bs. Lay down some computer mumbo jumbo on top and you are in like flynn. Trust me I talked to a couple of contractors before and the only reason they actually go on some of these trips is to get rides in choppers or other military vehicles.

I have found 2 years ago a topic on czech offline chat about that few peoples are reating really cool game I asked which weapns should be include and tehy told me XXYYZZ, i asked why not ABCDEFGHIJKMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

They asked me if i could get those weapons

So i taky our family car and load it with weapons and come for 1st time to BIS, then i come second time with weposn.

Then i was enlisted as tester (i participated already on EU release)

Im graduated 2D grphic/DTP

So i tried to do some textures, my first task was instumental panel and HUD of Suchoj Su-25 (sukhoi) and textures for Ch-29T (television guided rockets on Suchoj). Then come the Ch-47 (whole instrumnetal panel (i saw the 'Nam era movie about maintance of CH47 1000 times cause i haev no images of HDD))

Now im working on lot of things to DDisk but its classified now so i should wait until its released :-)

Like when fully loaded Apache is strafing against me. I was sitting in car and just remembering how big thermalsignature my car does have and how its immpsoible to avoid Hellfire  

But overall it was GREAT weekend and i promise you to put some pictures here as soon as possible.
