echo1 0 Posted April 11, 2009 One thing I've always wanted to see, first in Flashpoint, then in ArmA and now in ArmA 2 are multiple factions and the ability to change each side's relationship to the other, as opposed to just West vs East. In the previous two BIS games the Resistance/RACS was a dynamic side as you could set which side it was friendly to. Considering that we now have 5 factions in the upcoming game, I wonder if we get to change around who's friendly to who when making missions.
Crowe 0 Posted April 11, 2009 You can already do it by using this command http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/setFriend
echo1 0 Posted April 11, 2009 Heh, you learn something new every day! Although, being able to do it without resorting to script commands might be a good idea.
An-225 0 Posted April 11, 2009 To be fair, this is what the campaign is based upon. ;) Don't piss off the civilians, because you might piss off NAPA. I'm sure this is implemented for the other factions! Although, whether or this can be done for multiplayer missions, I don't know. However, I would agree with you in saying that the mission editor needs to contain more GUI instead of script commands. Considering that you could set RACS to be friendly to varying factions in ArmA via GUI, I'm sure this will be repeated for most, if not, all factions in ArmA 2.
