Steven Samuels 0 Posted March 3, 2009 Hey everyone, As you can see im a newbie, however I have a problem. I wanted to know if I should buy ArmA so I did what any good buyer should. I downloaded the demo. I tried to run it but I ran into heavy lag. Were not talking 10 or 15 FPS. But only ONE FRAME A SECOND lag. Even on the lowest graphical levels, thats the best I can get. My computer specs are as follows: 2.10GHz 2.00 GB of RAM 23.7 GB of remaining disc space Nvidia GeForce FX Go5650 Windows XP SP 2 PLEASE HELP THIS GAME LOOKS AWESOME! ck-claw 1 Posted March 3, 2009 Of course you should buy ArmA Afaik the demo released was a very early version. The full game has been patched up to a very good standard now! Although im not quite sure about your Proccessor/graphic card are quite up to it?
desertjedi 3 Posted March 4, 2009 Your video card is not powerful enough to play ArmA at an acceptable frame rate. Your cpu might add to the problem as well (for ArmA at least) depending on what type of cpu it is. Is this a laptop we're talking about?
Steven Samuels 0 Posted March 4, 2009 Yep. A Latitude D800. From Dell. Thats a bit suprising to me since I run games that need 128 MB from my Graphics card and they run pretty good.
desertjedi 3 Posted March 4, 2009 If the age of your cpu is similar to your laptop's video card, I would find it hard to believe that your laptop could play any modern game at an acceptable frame rate, sorry to say. That said, the actual game after being patched to 1.14, is supposed to have MUCH better performance than the original demo. But it would still not be playable on your system. Steven Samuels 0 Posted March 5, 2009 Damn...I'll see if I can get a decent PC going. However I highly doubt it.
