B.K. 0 Posted February 2, 2009 I have made a base with some helo pads on sarahni and a special medical helo pad in the base near a medical center for rescue missions. But Helos do only land on that emergency pad, even if I give 'em waypoints on the normal pads outside the base. If I replace the medical pad with a normal this still happens. Someone has an Idea why the helos take that single helo pad instead of the one I told them to land on? Is it possible to change that behaviour?
icfhoop 0 Posted February 3, 2009 yes there is a way to change this, not shure if this works while a chopper is under pressure but, if no then here it goes: 1) Make the chopper a waypoint which is set to Unload or transport unload. 2) Then place the way point directly over a NAMED helopad (name it something like "lz") 3) Then make a trigger and in the On Act: put heli land "lz"; Heli is name of chopper and lz is name of the pad
johnnyboy 3797 Posted February 4, 2009 You can also use Mando's Heliroute script to force a chopper to land almost anywhere (including building rooftops). Here's a link: http://www.ofpec.com/ed_depo....me=ArmA There is a nifty demo mission that shows landing on rooftops.
B.K. 0 Posted February 4, 2009 thanks a lot. I tried the script earlier, but it just kept messing up the whole thing. the helis were just flying around in strange ways and did not even reach the target area. they hovered somewhere in the map and nothing else happened. I'll try again when I'm back at home, maybe I just put something wrong in there.
