insomnianshadow 0 Posted December 6, 2008 I just noticed that in ArmA you cannot reload half emptied pistol magazines. Unlike with assault weapons it seems to be impossible to load a new mag if you haven't fully emptied the current one (it will play the reload animation but the rounds number stays the same. Anyone having any idea on how to change that ? I have noticed that it seems to be "type" dependant. Assault weapons are type "1" whereas pistols are type "2". Setting a pistol to type "1" makes it reloadable with a not fully emptied mag but screws all pistol based settings. I'm curios if there are any server/difficulty settings that let you set this up ? Thanks for hints in advance
Aqu 0 Posted December 6, 2008 I have no problems switch mags. If you press reload, it switched to the most full mag. If a clip take e.g 15 rounds, the current one has 11, and two others have 12 and 13, it switches to the one with 13. If the current one has most bullets in it, then of course the number won't change. manzilla 1 Posted December 6, 2008 This may not be the right place to post this. You may want to try a different forum area. And what Agu says also occurs with me. Are you using any community made content or just plain vanilla ArmA? If you are using AddOns/Mods you may have a conflict between them. What pistols does this occur with? Just the base ArmA weapons or others. If it occurs with the BIS weapons and you are using AddOns/Mods try removing everything and check again with just vanilla ArmA. If you use other AddOns/Mods and don't use Mod folders for the community content make sure only the original ArmA .pbo's are in the Main AddOns folder. Try that and see if the problem still occurs. If you are only playing vanilla ArmA, I'm not sure what to say to help.
insomnianshadow 0 Posted December 8, 2008 Thanks for the quick reply guys. This seems to be a very odd issue since it happens occasionally on vanilla AND addon loaded ArmA installs. Will take me a while to exactly figure out what is causing it since it also seems to be affected by whether you are connected to a dedicated server or not. ***UPDATE*** Adding a Server Game Logic to my mission resolved the issue
manzilla 1 Posted December 8, 2008 That's great to read that you figured out the problem. My apologies for not being able to provide more insight but MP is not a strong suit of mine. I don't play it to much. Take care.
