mr.g-c 6 Posted December 1, 2008 Hi since i switched to Vista X64 i have a strange thing appearing very randomly. Suddenly during game, the game freezes for ~30 seconds, then in my "info-bar" next to the clock in taskbar, a "cloud" pops-up with a message like "The Graphics-driver has been resotred after an error" or similar - i only know it in German and its: "Der Anzeigetreiber wurde nach einem Fehler wiederhergestellt" After that, performance is most times considerably worse than before and so i have to restart. Also this kicks you out of MP games because of "Battleye Client not responding." Hardware is: - Q6600 @ 3.1 - 3.4 GHZ more than 8 hrs Primestable (both tests) also happens in default clock. - 4GB Ram DDR2 1066 - Geforce 9600GT 512MB (always newest drivers) Problem is GraphicsCard Driver INDEPENDENT! OS is like mentioned Vista X64 (Ultimate) with all updates/service pack, newest Direct-X Redistributable, etc.
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted December 1, 2008 Latest driver meaning WHQL? I always end up going back to latest WHQL after betas get tested. I'm using 178.24WHQL (no problems), the 180.60 and .70 betas caused severe flickering for me in ArmA, but FarCry2 and Crysis were sweet. Also, if not playing any PhysX games, try disabling it in the Nvidia CP. It took me 3 un/reinstalls to get the 178.24 working again.......even using Driver Cleaner.
