Change Driver Position on Bike/Motorbike

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

is someone out there who can give me a tip how it is possible to change the driver position of the driver of bikes and motorbikes?

On TT650 and M1030 the driver has the arms in a short angle...i wanna change his arms reaching a bit longer.

And the legs little more forward and the angle of knees closer to 90degrees.

Thanks a lot

Marc

You need to edit the driver animations of those bikes.

\wheeled3\TT650\DATA\ANIM\TT650_Driver.rtm

\wheeled3\M1030\DATA\ANIM\M1030_Driver.rtm

You can do that in Oxygen2PE as well.

1) Open a any soldier/civilian model (from the sample models)

2) Make sure the window "Animations" is displayed

3) Right click in the Animations window, select "From Matrices", choose the .rtm file you want to edit

4) You'll see 3 keyframes listed (in this example; could be way more) in the Animation Window, double click the one of phase 1 or 2 and the animation, defined by the .rtm, will be applied to the model in the View window

5) Now edit the driver position like you would edit any other model (moving/rotating/...)

6) When you're done, save it by right-clicking in the Animations window, select "Export Matrices"

Hi,

have a problem again:

when i updated the sitting positions and try to export the matrices O2 shows failure messages "coordinates for "..." not found" ("..." = f.e. NVG, proxies,...) though all parts are there.

After showing all failure messages O2 is crashing and all work is for the wastecan. Tried it three times now.

What is the problem?

Hi,

ok...animations in O2 are not working.

two possibilities:

1. O2 crashes wihle exporting the matrices

2. O2 saves and exports the matrices but shows fully disformed p3d after reopening.

Someone another idea to make working anims for bike sitting?

I'm having the same problem with O2. Currently I'm using RtmToolBox to edit and save animation and O2 to view the changes.

In RtmToolBox You need to open *.rtm file. Under Component linking select part of the body that You want to translate or rotate and click on it with right mouse button to display actions. Edit, save and load it with O2 to see what happened wink_o.gif

Maybe this is not best way to create new animations but for editing static animations is enough.

Ok,

thanks...will try it.

Edit:

That will not work. I have to see the changes while editting.

Other wise I had to start 2 programs after every little change. So it woeld take years till i had finished necessary changes

Ok,

Just don't close them wink_o.gif. If You enable autosave option in RtmToolBox only thing You need to do is to load animation in O2 (3 clicks, 2 seconds).

You can also check Maya RTM animation kit by teaCup, but this requires Autodesk Maya.

Hi,

I just downloades Maya PLE (free Learning Edition) and will try if

the animation kit is working with it.

If not i will try your suggested way with Toolbox.

Will tell here what is working

Hi again,

ok the MayartmPack dont work with MayaPLE because the pack needs *.ma and the PLE version works with *.mp

But the way Mateck described with RTMToolbox is not so unfine as i originally thought.

Most important: Its working!

Some more work and a bit long winded...but working.

I will do it further this way. Thanks Mateck! notworthy.gif
