Gorgi Knootewoot 0 Posted March 3, 2002 Bah, happy as i was i installed 1.45 over 1.42. Guess what.....nothing worked. I couldn't see any text in the menu. The game was fine, but any text appeared as rectangles on the screen. My brother had 1.40 and installed it and had no problems. Now i have to reinstall everything. Well, here goes.................. Gorgi Knootewoot 0 Posted March 4, 2002 I installed: 1.0 --> 1.20 --> 1.30 -->1.40 -->1.45 And everything went fine But i am afraid that when 1.50 is released, the problem will appear again. The same happened when i went from 1.29 to 1.30. They said to me that 1.42 was no BETA-patch, but i think that if it was a stand-alone patch, this crap wouldn't happen. There were a lot of people that had problems when going from 1.29 to 1.30. I guess i should only install the complete patches (1.20, 1.30, 1.40 and soon 1.50) everything in between gives problems. Gorgi Knootewoot 0 Posted March 4, 2002 No, when i did 1.29 to 1.30, the game crashed a lot, so i reinstalled. When going from 1.42 to 1.45 i had a clean install from 1.0 - 1.20 -1.30 - 1.40 - 1.42 Now i did 1.0 - 1.20 - 1.30 - 1.40 - 1.45 and it worked. But i could go from 1.30 to 1.45. I didn't know, thx. So when 1.50 comes out i guess you can go from 1.30 directly to 1.50 then. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

theavonlady 2 Posted March 4, 2002 I've only reinstalled once and that's when I applied 1.30 over 1.29 just after 1.30 was made available. Again, I have no probs with my install path: 1.00>1.20>1.30>1.40>1.42>1.45 Now, if I got a eurocent for each patch I've installed, I'd almost be as rich as you.
