SGT. Armstrong 0 Posted March 3, 2002 I finally got past "After Montigac" (VERY HARD TOO) and I've now got up to the bit where Armstrong is promoted to Liutenant. I've been dreading this bit because now I have to take command. Is it hard taking command during batlle? and if it's possible could someone give me a few pointers of taking command? WKK Gimbal 0 Posted March 3, 2002 well, if you set them to fall into formation (1-1) and danger (7-2), they will pretty much handle themselves during combat as well as lie down when you do, etc. If you want them to be more offensive, hit (3-5) then they'll Engage At Will. call them back with (1-1) or (3-6) Disengage. This is the very very basic stuff. Good thing is, if you don't give them many commands, they'll begin to think for themselves. So you can just concentrate on your own targets. I think the first commander mission is a defense (sorry for spoiler, hehe) So try using the line formation (8-7 i think.) behind the cover and tell them to watch the direction the enemy comes from (by alt-clicking in the direction). But anyway, the mission will teach you that stuff.
