"Data file too short anim.pbo"

After installing the boxed german version (idea / peter games) when starting the game without any patch it displays "data file too short anim.pbo" (after checking the CD).

I never had this problem on my old PC (Windows XP)

New Pc

AMD DUal 5000

2gb

Windows vista home

Would patching it remove the error? Because I once tried patching and it failed (basically screwed the whole installation)

have you tried reinstalling?

and this problem is caused by not completing extracting

It is a completeley new install.

even if it's new sometimes bad copying or extrating happens so you will get corrupted files (it happened to me with frish installes many times)

How to extract it directly from the cde then? I dont want to reinstall 30mins for "possibly" successfull install
