boumboumjack 0 Posted July 16, 2008 Hi all, When I try to set up a road models, I got "Object does not follow requirements for road objects (Are there all named points presents)" Can someone help me with this problem? thx
Synide 0 Posted July 16, 2008 the model of the piece of road you are trying to insert. look at the memory LOD in the model... make the named selections UPPERCASE. depending on the type of model, it is also influences what named selections should be present in the memory LOD. ie. a straight part should have LB,LE,PB & PE. Â Â a T-Junction should have LB,LE,LD,LH,PB & PE. Â Â etc. Look at the example BIS road models for guidance.
bravo 6 0 Posted July 16, 2008 you must use the ARMA_SampleModelsEnvironmentOther.zip Source
Synide 0 Posted July 16, 2008 you must use the ARMA_SampleModelsEnvironmentOther.zip Source not quite right... you can use any road model you desire... it's just gotta be in the form Visitor requires...
Planck 1 Posted July 16, 2008 To the best of my knowledge, Visitor doesn't accept ODOL format road models, reason being the ODOL models do not have the 'snap-to' points' available for Visitor to read, hence the error 'Object does not follow requirements for road objects (Are there all named points presents)'. Best to use the MLOD versions kindly released by BI for the community instead. Planck
Synide 0 Posted July 16, 2008 nah... the reason you can't use odol models for roads in your pew's is not because the 'snap-to-points' are not there 'cause they are... they're just in lowercase form... it's because Visitor cannot even read odol models and when it comes to roads V3 needs to be able to read them to get at the snap-to-points... yes, i know i'm being perdantic...
