DrRippeR 0 Posted December 8, 2001 Yep, its that crackling problem causing yet another post. I can't figure it out, I'm getting horrible sound in OFP, especially viehicle noise. The prob doesn't show up in most apps but does with OFP and NFSHS. I didn't notice the prob before I loaded XP (I was running 98 before). I don't think its just an OFP problem, but it sure is a good place to find it. I've tried all the driver updates I could find and looked at every forum I could dig up, but still havent found a solution. Ahhrrgg! tlx 0 Posted December 8, 2001 I'm not sure but i think this is some chipset/sb live issue. Several posts dealing with it. You might give search a try.
RN Malboeuf 12 Posted December 8, 2001 has nothing to do with chipsets if this was true then all of us would be having problems it's the OS XP it has only 45% Driver suport, you'll just have to wait till they fix it, why any one would buy XP in the 1st place confounds me, I bet you bought Win 95 the 1st week it was out Don't bother with saying your other games work fine, OFP is new and does newer things that these Drivers can't handle, so untill then complain to Creative for better XP drivers
