Somerville 0 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi, Sorry to bother you lot with this, but I am at my wits' end >< I recently upgraded my Mobo to an ASUS Striker Extreme. This comes with a Superbeam SoundMax microphone. At the moment, without Microphone boost on, I can record myself from my bedroom upstairs and hear it clearly. I'm wondering if anyone knows a solution to this, so I don't have to play ArmA from outside my flat in order to stop the staticy-nastiness? I've checked the settings, but I can't see where I've gone wrong. Please help!
nettrucker 144 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi Somerville Let me get this straight. Do you need to do recordings for your own missions or is it the sound you hear when playing ArmA on your computer? Try and check it out with another type of microphone if you need to record things. In my opinion it's related to the microphone which might be oversensitive which is in my opinion quite bad since You don't need a mike for a spyjob. In case you don't like what you hear when playing than it's certainly somehow settings related I'm afraid. But obviously it's not possible for me to understand fully since I can't hear how it sounds. Try to find a clean setting on your soundcard and try to turn off whatever boost you have at disposal. Gotta experiment a bit. sorry couldn't be much of a help.
