Reporting moderators?

Recommended Posts

Is there anyone you can report moderators too please?

I believe that locking 4 topics purely because you don't like what they say is wrong.

Instead of locking the topics why not try to discuss the issue, after all your job is to help the members get along.

This current path of dare I say it, 'abuse of power' will merely inflame the posters attitudes.

Man, you are really striving for a ban aren't you?

Why don't you put your petulance aside and relax? It's rather ironic don't you think that you open a thread about the childishness of some people on the board and then you start to pout and antagonize the moderators at a perceived slight?

I have closed 2 topics, one that was clearly inflamitory and aimed at creating another big arguement, not to mention the fact that there is already 3 or 4 other threads that regard the EXACT same topic. Your first topic was closed because for a start it was in the wrong forum and secondly it was begining to turn into an "anti-n00bie" post. The extra topic I closed was where you referred to me as a facist, clearly a mature, adult thing to say.

Our "job" is to see the forum running smoothly with as little crap as possible from people like you who do nothing but create friction and call people facists. If the mods left this forum it would quickly become posts containing flame, porn, random images, porn, flame, crap.

In the future can you post topics in the correct forum. Thanks. I'll leave this open because I'm quite prepared to take criticism and to tell you why I closed those threads. if you feel it's neccessary.

I wasn't my intention to launch an attack on anyone, nor do I blieve that was giving the impression of that. If you check any of my posts over the months you will see that they try to be contructive and helpful, as well as raising valid points. I may have over reacted with the 'facist' remark, but I saw the locking of the topic over a single comment a bit over the top. I thought a simple pointer/reminder from yourself would be enough to steer anyone away from a possible attack/flame. People respect your input and comments and thats why your a moderator, but it disheartens people when they are stopped in their tracks by someone else.

Thank you for not locking this particular topic, as it allows myself and others to reply, and you to understand my thinking.

The unfortuneate reality right now is that the forum is so full of pointless posts, rants and flames that when members of BIS want to comment on a subject it's hard to find the correct post containing the sensible ideas, suggestions and criticisms. This is not good in a time when we want to basically hear from Marek daily.

I've learnt from experience that people dont listern to moderators when they ask people to stop talking about a subject..A good example is people seem to have a fetish for talking about warez, even talking about owning warez copies of OFP, many times I've asked people to stop (this forum is not the place for talk of Warez) but, nope they continue regardless. It's the exact same situation with people who flame BIS. I read one post from some one who said "BIS suchs my ass" or something similar. Not acceptable. Just as it isn't acceptable for people to make inflamitory comments saying "BIS aren't releasing tools because they want people to buy their software". At this point those types of comments make the situation at hand much harder to control and much harder for sensible debate to commence.

As I said, I didn't close your first topic because of something you said, I closed it because it was rapidly becoming an anti-n00b post due to other members of the forum. We have firm rules against people flaming and bashing each other on this forum. In reality I shouldn't let this thread continue because it's clearly a flame against me. I will however move it to OFFtopic because it doesn't belong in general.
