=Spetsnaz= 0 Posted April 29, 2008 I had ArmA Installed 9 weeks ago, it worked fine for 3 weeks, but now i started getting a blue screen of death. It happens a few times when i play out of blue, usually on big maps like evolution and it happens mostly on 1.08 and sometimes i rarely get it on 1.12. I dont know whats wrong ArmA is the only game i get alot of problems. I also get some errors where my screen resoultion changes and says something about not been able to start the game because of my graphics card :S My graphics card is a ATI Radeon x1900xt PCI-E 512mb card Im running latest drivers for my graphics card. once i get the errors again ill post what they say. But does anyone else experience this? because ArmA is the only game that does that so i guessing its a game/pc issue not a hardware issue?
max power 21 Posted April 29, 2008 I get them sometimes too. What kind of audio card do you have? Do you sometimes hear odd, electronic clicks and snaps? I think mine might have to do with an audio incompatibility between my creative drivers and open al.
=Spetsnaz= 0 Posted April 30, 2008 its an onboard audio card so its not external but im unsure if its to do with my audio card and no i dont hear any clicks or whatever i only get blue screens of deaths and my screen resoultion changes sometimes when i exit out of the game which then i try to get back in and says some error about wrong resoultion or something meaning i have to restart my PC. But ArmA is the only game to do this, so it could be the game isnt that well compitable with ATI Radeon X1900XT cards. But i dont know how to fix it because it gets annoying when you play in a middle of mission with friends and then boom you get blue screen of death :S

tog 0 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi. first time poster. I hate to say it but I started getting the dreaded blue screen as well... thoe it happened after I had gotten out of arma. to make a long story short, uninstall and reinstall arma. I havent had the blue screen since I uninstalled it. Think this time Ill wait till Bohemia fixes this problem myself thoe. I think it may have something to do with stored memory since its mentioned thruout the forums. Â PLEASE BOHEMIA, FIX THE MEMORY ERROR SOON! I need my arma fix! == update with question for community == A few friends I know are having issues with ArmA with the same BSOD during or after playing ArmA... one friend says ArmA may have a serious loop going on thats filling up the ram? This computer is 2 months old and a CMOS chip has already burned out. ArmA is the only thing I use this computer for with the exception of MSN. The only thing Ive found in common with my friends who have had this issue is ArmA. Ive run speedfan, scanned for viruses, done the whole 9 yards. If anyone else has any thoughts or has had this error, would love to hear how you resolved them. ArmA gold 1.08 and 1.12 3070 mb RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT w 512mb ram WinXP professional athlon dual core processors nothing overclocked btw, since Ive uninstalled ArmA, I havent had the issue especially after clearing out ArmA from the registry manually. sorry for taking over the bottom of the post Russianguy.
