Hnd 0 Posted December 7, 2001 Have the same problem with Dx8.1 and TNT card drv v12.43 OFP v1.30. Hey BIS how about publishing recommended (or at least, tested) combinations of OS, DX, VidCard and Driver, SoundCard and Driver?
Hnd 0 Posted December 7, 2001 or even better make those effects 3-D, that should solve it :-)
Captain Kickass 0 Posted December 7, 2001 Noob? Never heard of it! I've heard of Gimp, Gink and the other one's but noob is a new one!
Jason Alaska 0 Posted December 7, 2001 Sounds like an upgrade from 1.29 to 1.30. You'll need to uninstall (Make a backup of your "USERS" directory first) and then reinstall 1.20 then go directly to 1.30. That fixed that same problem for a budy of mine. Goodluck! teach 1 Posted December 8, 2001 Someone said the DX8.1 is the cause and you have to use DX8 for now.
Hnd 0 Posted December 8, 2001 Alaska, thanks for tip but I've already tried that. Did not work. It does look like Dx8.1 is the source of problem. I'll try to downgrade to 8.
Mister Frag 0 Posted December 9, 2001 I think the issue is more complicated than that, it can't be DX 8.1 alone -- I'm using it without any trouble.
