nastros 0 Posted April 20, 2008 I had a search but cant seem to find what i want. I was wondering if someone could tell me the best way of managing my addons at the moment i have my addons split into mod folders but these folders have gotten very large and are starting to take their toll on the game i was wondering if anyone knows any good addon managers to solve my problem any help would be much appreciated. -DirTyDeeDs--Ziggy- 0 Posted April 20, 2008 are you playing sp or mp? how many mods are you running to play for each? I use mod folders same as you, and simply create shortcuts for each combination I wish to use. I maintain many different game shortcuts in order to try the latest betas that BIS has produced, as well as the latest official game version. I try to use a sound and effect addon, and perhaps a group of addons for that particular server I am playing on. ( ex. -mod=@servername). I know of no addon manager, but I havent looked because this system works well enough for me.
baddo 0 Posted April 20, 2008 A simple solution is to create more folders. I use Kegetys' ArmA Launcher to start Arma, with it it is very easy to enable/disable a mod folder. You can find that program from http://www.kegetys.net/ I have a folder @mods in ArmA folder. Inside it I put the mod folders. This way the ArmA folder is not cluttered up with the extra folders.
