No Entry ArmA.cfg.3D_Performance

My friend (who for some reason can't register on this site) recently got this error when trying to start ArmA:

When he plays ArmA he has to re-assign his graphic settings. How would you fix this error?

Tell him to try to delete the ArmA.cfg file and restart. Else I guess a re-install would be the next option.
