Compact Fix for ArmA 1.12

So what should I do guys?

The First and Third person view are zoomed in, not like in 1.8.

My Compact Fix does not change FOV.

Play in the Editor to see some examples of what my fix does:

- RPG soldiers engage helicopters

- unified vehicles designation

- 100/1000 map grid instead of 200/2000

and more...

Try using TrueView mod.

In 1.8 it was normal but in 1.14 it's zoomed in.

By the way, Vikhr missiles are laser beam rider missiles. The missile tries to stay in the laser beam projected from the helicopter. It does not home to the laser mark, it flies in the laser smile_o.gif

They can not be guided to laser designated targets.

OK, I'll need to work on it more! Hope that somebody would release realistic Vikhr script!

As soon as I'll get Mandoble's permission to use parts of his script, I'll release v1.14B.

What's new:

- Flares - thanks to william1, Franze and Frederf! Still random sqs, but improved alot!

- Horn - for example HMMWV (M2) driver can sound the horn instead of firing M2 smile_o.gif

- Mandoble's Ejection Seats script extended & enabled for BIS jets and Ka-50, and also Life Saving Pontoons script for all aircrews!!! Need some modelling job for additional special effects such as Ka-50 rotor blades!

- Vehicle Laser Designator - that's ridicolous, I made it's config VERY similiar to Solus's one at the 2008's beginning... High 5, Solus biggrin_o.gif I'm currently using some of Solus's config tweaks such as AI firing range.  The VLD currently works only on assault helicopters.

- Vehicle Nightvision - based on and compatible with sHole's Nightvision! Press your compass key at night while in armor / aircraft / helicopter smile_o.gif

Cant launch ArmA with this addon. Error message no found ZGB_Flares_Settings.hpp but this file is correct in your location.

Move this file to your ArmA\Dta directory. Bugger me!

I'll update the pack as soon as I perfect current Flares and Ejection, so people won't get these errors by default!

Hi,

you have a locality problem.

Flares has to run on every client but the ejection seat is only allowed to run at the server.

Ok, thanks.

One thing I forgot in the last post:

The eject-sound is played per playsound not per say.

Because I can hear that sound when shooting down an plane one kilometer away.

Oh, and rpg against helicopter is realy nice:

That issue with ejection sound was caused by it's stereo format. Currently such things shouldn't happen.

I'm close to release updated version!

EDIT: ok... im confused. This was the wrong thread i guess.

Awesome update!

Btw, the flares seem to be very ineffective. Was testing it with Erics KA52 and it gets hit everytime. Seems the flares are dropped too late to get effect.

Im off testing the rest. Noticed the JSF35 addon didnt drop automatically like with Wipmans flare addon. But i will add the classname for now to test.
