GodHammer 0 Posted May 16, 2008 Unfortunately Sa-5's launcher is different form Sa-2's or Sa-3's. The best choice for such a map would be Sa-3 Goa, for its shorter range of engagement. Anyway I'm making a Sa-9 already for Project'85 friends, short range too. Sa-5 it finished, just needs LODS and some good normal maps Cheers, GH.
bospor 0 Posted May 16, 2008 It's too bad that it is a different launch pad... But good news that you are almost done with Sa-5. Are you going to do the LOADs and maps yourself or are you looking for help? Also, did you finish the radars too?
-Soviet- 0 Posted May 17, 2008 Hi, Sa-5 it finished, just needs LODS and some good normal maps (...) That's very good! (...) I'm making a Sa-9 already for Project'85 friends, short range too. That's another very good news. I saw your's wip pics in the Project 85 thread and I have to say then the SA-9 is a good choice. With a SA-9, it will be possible to reproduce a realistic Cold war AA battery with the ZSU-23-4's to protect Warsaw Pact land forces. Again, Good work! Quote[/b] ]The Strela-1 is deployed in the short-range air defence battery of Soviet motor rifle and tank regiments. The battery consists of a gun platoon of four ZSU-23-4 Shilkas, and a SAM platoon four Strela-1 vehicles. The Strela-1 platoon contains, in addition to a command vehicle, one TEL fitted with a passive radar detection system similar to a Radar Warning Receiver, and several more (usually three) without any radar system. The radar detection system is the 9S16 "Flat Box" and consists of four sensors mounted around the BRDM vehicle giving it 360 degree coverage. This system emits no radar energy but can detect radio waves emitted from aircraft, giving the vehicle warning about incoming aircraft and aiding in the acquisition of the target aircraft with the optical system. Typical tactics call for the launch of two missiles against each target to improve the chance of destroying it. The 9K31 system was superseded by the 9K35 Strela-10 (SA-13 "Gopher") has replaced the SA-9 units in use in Russia. Good day, Mr SAM! -Soviet-

GodHammer 0 Posted June 4, 2008 Right u said, I'm deep into '85 project, so I'm trying to follow a list of " need to be done " things. The Gammon is still alive, I just need some free time to finish it Thanks again for comments, cheers, GH.
bospor 0 Posted August 27, 2008 GH, any chance you had found some free time to finish this addon?
GodHammer 0 Posted August 29, 2008 It's on hold but not dead I'm trying to help out some people then I'll take care of my models too I would love to see this big one ingame too, maybe it's also time for a texture refreshment. I modeled a lot and had the chance to improve my skills too, so I want the Gammon be on the same level of the other missiles, even if it was already cute Thanks for reminding me this, anyway Cheers, GH.
