bravo 6 0 Posted March 9, 2008 Army Dogs (1942-Present)! source "The Army Quartermaster Corps began the U.S. Armed Forces first war dog training during WWII. By 1945 they had trained almost 10,000 war dogs for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Fifteen War Dog platoons served overseas in World War II. Seven saw service in Europe and eight in the Pacific. In 1951 the responsibility for training military dogs was given to the Military Police Corps. Dogs continued to serve the armed forces with distinction in Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq and many recent contingency operations." source ArmA2 will have wild animals.. pic 1 Why not Army Dogs in ArmA2? smellyjelly 0 Posted March 9, 2008 It would make the game much more interesting and unique, though if dogs are added they should be so realistically. Personally I thought that STALKER has really good dog ai. They aways attack in packs, they run away when shot at, they limp, whine, and drag bodies away. Their behavior when attacking is very distinct, as they like to run around the player before attacking to avoid being shot. Anyways, yeah, there is a large difference between wild, mutated dogs and professionally trained dogs. My point is that if dogs are added, they should be realistic (and also not overused). I once eared that animals would react differently with different situations.. and their behavior could be twiked. Hope BIS is also up to this, turning the game more realistic. See it as a challenge. edit:
Uziyahu--IDF 0 Posted March 30, 2008 It was great to see dogs in Call of Duty 4. I hadn't seen them posing much of a threat in a game since Quake. (The dogs in Stalker and Oblivion weren't all that dangerous.)
