marcus_crassus 0 Posted February 28, 2002 Gents, I've a silly question: Are we sure the models everyone is putting together in anticipation of the release of the model "importer", will work? What I mean is, take for instance the "Little Bird" from "Black Hawk Down" that a few modelers are putting together. Of course the modelers will be looking to get players/sodiers to ride on the side-mounted skids, in addition to the pilot and co-pilot positions. Will just having the model importer be enough to allow this? Or will some programming, i.e. the SDK, be necessary to get this, and other models to work properly? CarolCray 0 Posted February 28, 2002 Thx Dawdler... I too have been wondering if my model's will actually 'work' and what is needed to make them work... ie things like he mentioned, seating and animations for rotors and wheels, ect. ...or will I find myself 2weeks from now extracting existing units models and modifying them... so that said things will work correctly... Im a modeler... not a programmer. Let me re-phrase that... Im a thief... and a wannbe programmer.:)
marcus_crassus 0 Posted February 28, 2002 I may be in the minority, but just for the sake of accuracy, I will be modeling an M1 Abrams with a loader as part of the crew. I will attempt to get him to "TURN OUT" when the other crewman turn out.....I may keep him an AI member of the crew (unless a player wants the Loader pos open to a real player) so as to keep in line with BIS' limit on 12-men squads.
