hi all, it's been a long time but i tried to install arma today. When i started up the game when the ticking boxes come up the game crashes and i get this message: failed to read the shader cache file. Missing or brocken shdc file?

I recommend you go to the Microsoft site to make sure. There have been updates to DirectX 9c.

I've installed 1.05 and it now says: shaders not valid (mismatch of exe and data?)

Sounds like: Uninstall, delete arma folder, reinstall, install patch 1.05 and patch 1.08.

I would also recommend v1.09beta

Does it have a 6600gt/x800 or better video card?

I've been told my laptops no good for arma, so I'll put it back on my old computer.
