Jeff2121 0 Posted December 26, 2007 Well, I have a couple of questions; I'm hoping someone can answer: 1) How do I get AI soldiers to sit on the ground indefinitely, but react if the enemy comes near? 2) Do I need an external script for this to work? Cheers, mate!
chris330 0 Posted June 29, 2008 Yes I think you do. I'm going to post one up tomorrow when I've had some sleep
AgentJonathan 0 Posted June 29, 2008 I do, in fact, believe that my facts are straight, even though I haven't played OFP in a while now. But (1.)Give the soldier an order to sit down, eg: soldier1 action ["SitDown"] (2.)Create a trigger, oh, 100 by 100 and set it to East detected by west. Synchronize it to the first waypoint that gives the ["SitDown"] order. (3.)Create another waypoint that puts his combat mode to red, or Combat, Open Fire, engage at will. That way, when the East is detected by West, the guy will be alert, and not sitting. If you have any further problems, contact me I'll actually test something, or clarify further, but this will work, guaranteed, if you do it right.
chris330 0 Posted June 30, 2008 Haven't had the chance to test it but it sounds good to me
ProfTournesol 956 Posted June 30, 2008 Hi, No external script is needed. Just copy and paste the following code in the init line of the squad leader. Once enemy are in sight, they will get up. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">{_x switchmove "EffectStandSitDownStill";_x setbehaviour "safe";dostop _x} forEach units group this
