1st ctd, now white screen (HDR?)

Hi everyone, thank you for trying to help me.

First off, my RPT file is a wee bit huge (2Mb) so, what part should I present here?

Then, this is the problem I have:

I'm loading the game fine, and as it's done loading, you're supposed to get on the main menu, I have a CTD.

I've tried reinstalling and it's still there...

This happens to me with and without the beta, with and without my addons.

Common sense should tell you that as an absolute minimum you should post your complete system specs including all driver versions being used as well as windows version in use etc. etc. etc.

Does the same error happen, when you run the PC without overclocking?

I would try that at first.

Works all fine for me.

Vanilla ArmA, ArmA & CWR and ArmA & XAM 1.4, all with Patch 1.09 Beta.

CWR CTD'd for me the 5 times I tried the ambush mission (didn't manage to make it to the truck) but 1.09 runs fine (been playing Evolution SP for hours).

I'll try reinstalling ArmA again but that's more of a desperate action than a rational one.

EDIT: I ran ArmA one last time before reinstalling... It worked!

Have you tried the maxmem command line? eg -maxmem=512 (or 256,1024 etc etc)

I never needed it, it always ran perfectly with enough performance.

Hi everybody...

I just have another problem: everytime the scene suddenly changes, or I go to the desktop and back with Alt+Tab, or simply launch the game, the scene is bright white and slowly getting back to normal, just as if I was looking at the sun and then back to normal.

I've tried fiddling with the HDRPrecision value to see if that'd help; it wouldn't.

It's better you stick to one troubleshooting thread, even if the actual issue has changed (we can easily edit the title), otherwise people can give you information that's wasting their time and yours due to the suggestions being covered in the other thread.
