capnfoo 0 Posted December 11, 2007 I'm doin some LAN cinema stuff with fraps and want to disable crosshairs in my LAN gametypes. I know this has probably been asked a million times but there's no search bar and I don't see it in the stickies. thanks -foo
W0lle 1052 Posted December 11, 2007 Moving as this question has nothing to do with addons & mods. You might check the BI Wiki
capnfoo 0 Posted December 11, 2007 Ah sry there's not a scripting section either. So I have to make a dedicated server in order to configure it, there's not a way to add it into the mission config files? I don't know any scripting or anything, I can only do basic respawns and stuff so the simplest way would be good. thanks -foo
W0lle 1052 Posted December 11, 2007 No the crosshair can only enabled/disabled via the difficulty settings. If there is no dedicated server then on the computer hosting the mission needs to have crosshair disabled in its difficulty settings. AFAIK there's no way to enable/disable the crosshair via a script.
cross 1 Posted December 11, 2007 2 methods for you.. either 1) you host the game on your PC thru multiplayer/new section. You need to change your ingame settings or select veteran at the mission select screen. 2)You launch a dedicated server on the main server. You need to define the server profile and adjust settings in this file. For this use -profiles= command in your server startup line. For more detail check biki's dedicated server section as suggested.

jasono 0 Posted December 15, 2007 Another method which is via scripting is putting this in the init field of a unit <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this exec "camera.sqs" Will give you a lot of freedom. To close press V, to remove the crosshair in the script press L.
