frattonstation 1 Posted December 9, 2007 Am I the only one who is a bit disapointed with QG? Causing havoc with addon, effects etc and seem to have slowed Arma down to snails crawl on my PC. Am i The only one?
Maddmatt 1 Posted December 9, 2007 No problems here. Same performance as usual and my addons and mods work fine.
frattonstation 1 Posted December 9, 2007 just me then?
Maddmatt 1 Posted December 9, 2007 just me then? Seen some other reports of FPS loss by a few people. Never happened to me though. You sure it's Queens Gambit? And when you run through the QG shortcut, does it have your usual mods loaded too? QG is just addons, as well as the 1.08 patch + hotfix if you didn't have it already. evilnate 0 Posted December 10, 2007 I have actually noticed a performance gain with the islands Porto & United Sahrani. Maybe your graphical settings were reverted to default after installing the "expansion"?
frattonstation 1 Posted December 10, 2007 Just realised, I don't think any of my mods are working when I run Queens Gambit? (Lowplants & Arma Effects) Maybe I should just uninstall everything, then reinstall it all.
Maddmatt 1 Posted December 10, 2007 Just realised, I don't think any of my mods are working when I run Queens Gambit?(Lowplants & Arma Effects) Maybe I should just uninstall everything, then reinstall it all. Have you added them to the target line of the Queens Gambit shortcut? <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" -mod=DBE1;lowplants;@ArmAEffects DBE1 is Queens Gambit. wipman 1 Posted December 10, 2007 Hi, i haven't noticed any significative change in the computer's performance after install the QG, and i use it with the ArmA Effects 0.52, the Keg's LowPlants v1.1 and my own addons = 3 addon units and various addon weapons. My only dissapoint with the QG is the last mission on Porto that i'm unable to end, the saved games bug and some scripts/functions bugs and error messages in some QG campaigns; apart of that... everything works as it did before. Let's C ya
frattonstation 1 Posted December 10, 2007 yeah, all added to the target line on the shortcut, though I am going to check them again when I get home, maybe its a typo! I may have it as: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" -mod=DBE -lowplants -@ArmAEffects
walker 0 Posted December 10, 2007 "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" -mod=DBE -lowplants -@ArmAEffects Hi fratton_station Your shortcut is incorrect too many "-" and not enough ";" Consider  "-" as switch Consider  ";" as connections added to that switch in this case " -mod=" and then the Queens Gambit mod so  " -mod=DBE1" then as you add each mod it becomes "-mod=DBE1;lowplants" etc. So this is the correct form for your listed addons <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" -mod=DBE1;lowplants;@ArmAEffects Finally check you are using the correct names for your mod folders to be sure type ";" then copy and paste the name of each mod folder in turn remember no spaces between the ";" and the mod folder names. PS this should be in trouble shooting not general so I will ask a Moddie to move it for you. Kind Regards walker
