kocrachon 2 Posted November 13, 2007 So I recently did all of the fixes for Vista and now I cannot use ventrilo while in game. If I minimize the game, Vent works when ever I minimize the game, but in game it no longer works.
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted November 13, 2007 Seems I had that issue back in June (Atari release), Try a reinstall of Ventrilo. edit..I remember..onboard sound driver update and a reinstall of Ventrilo fixed it on my setup.
kocrachon 2 Posted November 13, 2007 Well I found out that for some reason I cannot use push to talk. When I play Arma I have to use voice activation. Id really like to change this because I dont want the guys to hear me talk to my wife while I play, since my mic doesn't have a mute button.
Deadfast 43 Posted November 13, 2007 I'm using Ventrilo while playing ArmA often and never had any problems (I'm running on XP, tho). What key do you use as push-to-talk in Ventrilo ? Have you tried a different one ?
kocrachon 2 Posted November 13, 2007 I tried using tab as well as a few others and it didn't work.
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted November 14, 2007 I use right shift, but can use any. Check output properties in the Ventrilo setup, confirm it's using your hardware.
Godfather-BEF- 0 Posted November 14, 2007 Hoooah, Had the same problem with TeamSpeak and solved it by (i) running both arma and Teamspeak as "administrator" under Vista (right click on desired icon to access that option) and (ii) ensuring that my voice activation key was not already assigned in Arma. Check if this helps! G.
