Downgrade?

My friend acciedentaly downloaded the polish 1.42 patch to my game. Is there anyway to go back to normal???

Only the long way to my knowledge. ie. uninstall and start again. Sorry.

Make sure you back up any custom addons and mission because you will need to remove the game completely to be sure of a good install.

If I'm not completely wrong, the 1.42 patch only rewrites 3 files. The main exe and two about 200k files in the /bin folder. It might also update maps, but that doesn't matter since you'll download the new maps when connecting to server.

Can anyone confirm this?

If they are using XP they can simply do a restore to an earlier day i think.

Otherwise just reinstall OFP, like it takes very long anyway.

If you started the install before you posted it would definately be finished before the first reply.

If you have Red Hammer, installing that will downgrade to V1.30

Well, if he's going to reinstall, then what he needs to know is that if he's got RH, he should install that just before installing 1.42 and not vice versa.
