Operationreality multiplayer community

Recommended Posts

We are a growing multiplayer community with our first Armed Assault Campaign in process.

We are currently looking to recruit mature teamwork oriented players to join the ongoing war.

We arrange practices 1 time a week on Tuesdays. Practices accure at 1900GMT on a 15 mission campaign. Battledays are every third Sunday.

What is operationreality?

The people involved

The admin team has taken on some new blood recently, engaged in the technical production of the forums, as well as battle planning and team administration.

The team is passionate about the current release of the Armed Assault platform and give a hearty round of applause to the creators and developers and players.

As established players we have built an evolving concept for tournament play which adapts and changes based very closely to the most important opinions of them all, the dedicated players that love the intense and depth of game-experience of tournament play, planning and strategy.

Operationreality.org Mission focus / statement.

The game of Armed Assault has many modes of play which are all fantastic in their depth and skills required to triumph in public and especially in tournament play. We in operationreality have a team of battle-planners and match-admins that will give the players that What-if? question, and answer that question through a series of main campaign-linked battles running on regular multiple-week cycles. Outcomes are dependent on the results of previous battles, side-missions and strategic and intelligence-focused doctrines. Resources are all important and individual commanders will have to consider the strength and style of team he or she has built to achieve the many objectives of each battle-session.

The team aims to build the bonds between the factions as gaming brothers in arms, and some of the early feedback has shown that players are seeing aspects of modern combat that haven't been seen before, and giving challenges on seemingly familiar maps that go beyond the regular mission completion, resources and firepower orientation of the two enemy forces.

Time frame

The website is active, developing and the battle-planners and battle-admins are hard at work designing devious, challenging and interesting scenarios to play out within the Armed Assault environment.

One main team is used in Coop mode at present, with 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment being that elite division.

Each team is further divided into companies.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Thanks for your time.

So what is this all about, and what do you do there?

Operation Reality seeks to take the fine Armed Assault game in its current and unedited and unmodified form and look to expand and diversify away from the type of play seen in long or short single mission-based battles into a scenario and story-based battle-campaign. The campaigns planned will twist and turn reflecting the reality of intense small and large scale combat that Armed Assault depicts. The actions of you as an individual soldier, squad-leader or commander all have an impact on the battlefield, prior to the battle, during planning and ultimately after the battle as the admins listen to your feedback and learn of what peoples opinions are of the format and style presented.

Let me illustrate some examples.....

Have you ever wondered about the consequences of the battles your army fights?

After that resounding tactical victory you achieve often on public servers, what is the next chapter?

Real battles have consequences, political, strategic and tactical for future battles, where are they in Armed Assault?

On a public server map rotation it's just another map. What if the Opfor base is totally overrun. What if the Bluefor takes almost no losses of heavy equipment due to the actions of its infantry? If that village is turned into rubble, what will the people who used to live there do? What if important equipment falls into the hands of the enemy?

In the operationreality.org tournament you will find out!

What is the story and background behind the many and changing map areas of the Armed Assault game, how do they all fit together?

Well, they are not set, only hinted it. The admins in the operationreality.org tournament will weave those links between map areas. Perhaps in a future engagement after your defeat in the southern desert you achieve numerous victories elsewhere allowing you to fight again for possession of this southern sector. Perhaps the balance of power in the battle has changed by the time of the return engagement making the fight easier.... or harder.

Running battles over a multiple-week cycle, giving commanders and squad’s time to plan their strategies, take on new tactical ideas and cope with the unique situation on the ground which can even change as the battle progresses.

Sign up to your faction, your units and listen well to your commanders and train your skills well. You are going to need them!
