DieAngel 0 Posted October 24, 2007 i used photoshop to make the png file, here is my pbl: class cfg { PNGfilename="terrain.png"; squareSize=20.000000; originX=0; originY=0; minHeight=-07.420013; maxHeight=2710.000000; }; 2710 is to fit with the real life highest point of my heightmap
opteryx 1562 Posted October 24, 2007 Yeah, as far as I've seen PS does something weird to the png's so you might have to open it up in Wilbur then save it as 16 bit png there. This however might corrupt/pixelate your heightmap some. Also does your heightmap dimensions correlate with your Terrain Grid size? Usually PS saved heightmaps doesn't crash V3, but compress them 50% horizontally. If anybody knows how to save/export a png from PS and use it straight into Visitor I'd like to hear it, I certainly haven't been able to do so yet.

It's a real shame because PS is a good height map editor in some respects. -edit- Buuuut now it doesn't any more apparently...
