Cant flippin save it!

Im on mission "Red Dawn" and every time i attempt to save game half way through the mission, op flash closes and the old "illegal operation" pops out! The msg shown is just a simple "ofp caused an invalid page fault in ofp.exe", or something along those lines. Plz can sum1 help plz plz plz...

I had the same problem as you.

I did fix it. I had fidddled my virtual memory settings to maximise my computers potential so I let Windows manage it for itself.

To do this right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'. Click on the tab labelled 'Performance' and click on the button labelled 'Virtual Memory Settings'. Select the tick box to let Windows manage the virtual memory settings.

I had already tweaked my virtual mem settings because i h8 letting windows manage it. Iv set virtual mem to abot 500 meg. BUT... now i know that it is a memory problem it is curable (supposedly) so i will set about tweaking all thing bright and beutiful on my pc. thanks 4 the help Jub

Just up the maximum swap file size from 500 to 1000 before you try anything fancier.

If you insist on manually setting virtual menory settings then to start you must make sure that your swap file is on your fastest disc (if you run more than one). You should enter the same values for minimum and maximum. Generally the best figure to put in them is 1.5 times the amount of RAM in your computer (2.5 times if you run less than 64Mb of RAM). But experiment to find the right figure for you.

This is what I did anyway...and to the most part it worked a dream for me. Untill I got Operation Flashpoint...now my machine will always crash on levels like Red Dawn (and some single missions) if I try and save game (and some retry points aswell). To fix the problem I did as I have already stated above, and it has worked.
