Help!!! No primary weapon

Hello, i have had arma for ages and i just whent on it after a wile of not playing and no matter what server i played on (multiplayer) i couldn't have a primary weapon, when i tried to gear up with one from a crate or whatever the magazines would go over to my inventuary but not the rifle. So i tried re-installing the game thinking maybe the files got deleted....(and annoyed by the fact that i had to re-download patches 1.05 and 1.08) finaly got back on to the game and the problem hadnt gone away, its the same in singleplayer and i tired the tutorial weapons firing and the only weapon that showed up was the SAW (the heavy machine gun thingy), that was an improvement but please if you can help please do, also while im playing other peolpes weapons dont show up, there running around like kids pretending to hold guns, the only weapon i can use is the m9 sidearm. HELP!!!!!!!

I had this problem when i use Vilas Basic pack, try to see if you have it and delete it.

Delete ur custom addons, and find out which one is causing it, if you wish to hold your still-working addons. There are some addons not compatible with 1.08, but most have been updated so get the updated variants from the addon sites.

@USMC-Needer, he fixed his packs long ago already.

it didnt work, well i dont think so, i cant find custom add ons, just add ons folder. im gunna c if i can have the machine gun on a multiplayer game.
