It depends on what kind of forces you are trying to model in your missions.

For instance,it will be quite odd if SAS makes a Lynx insertion. They use either MH-47E "Chinook" or MH-53 "Stallion".

Nice BAS MH-47E can be found here:

I am also planning to create several missions on actual SAS,using BLEED pack based on UKF DPM.And the best thing I decided for myself is to do all insertions using BAS USAF MH-47E "Chinook".That will look more realistically accurate I think.

We obviously lack RAF signed choppers suitable for insertions of British special forces. sad_o.gif

Since the British don’t use either the MH47E* or MH-53 it would be even more "odd" to use either of those.

The Lynx or standard HC2 Chinook is more likely in a war zone.  Even covert ops would use the HC2A Chinooks form 27 Squadron SF Flight

* While the UK does have several HC3 (similar spec to the MH-47) Chinooks they aren’t operational yet.  They were fraught with software and flight control issues and were grounded pending funds to fix them.  Which have now been found in light of the Tactical Helicopter shortfall.  They should enter SF service, if all goes well, in 2009 according to Qinetic and the MoD.

Lynx is used to support SAS missions, it is also used widely in the casevac role with UK troops, also convoy escort
